Science has proven the benefits of Yoga over and over again and large organizations are noticing. So why have you not started?
Let's start by eliminating some of the excuses:
I can't touch my toes
Good! you don't have to. Yoga is about meeting your body where it's at and developing a practice from there.
My body doesn't move that way
Great! You've already developed a mindset that is aware of your body. Now we know you can. But is it the right mindset? How can you really get to know your body and find improvement in your movement? That is what you will learn in your practice of yoga with me.
I don't have time
Do you have time to watch TV? Then you have time for Yoga. Life is about priorities, finding movement no matter what age will help you find less pain, less stress, sleep better, move better, and find better overall health. Now, do you have time?
As we look towards a new year many people look to lose weight and improve their health. Yoga is a great way to do that. It not only provides movement opportunities but also improves overall health by reducing your stress levels. For many people, 2020 brought a lot of stress and fear. These showed up with the change in our world and a lack of control. Many of these concepts are taught in my yoga classes which can help you find peace through these challenges.
Don't believe me? Check out this article from John Hopkins Medicine, where they list 9 health benefits of Yoga. Still not convinced? How about the American Osteopathic Association who discusses not just the physical benefits but the mental as well? Who doesn't need that right now? Ok, still not convinced? Let's look beyond the benefits on the mat and look beyond with Harvard Medical School who released an article discussing the benefits of Yoga off your Mat.
